Granny Squares

I got my April, "Granny Squares" done and now I need to pick up my May ones from Quilts Bayou.  I also canned 13 pints of mayhaw jelly.  Did more BOM sewing just trying to stay up with them.

Louisiana Strawberries

When I saw a guy selling Louisiana strawberries this week it reminded me when my mom would make us one every year so when I see them I have to have one too.  Brought my dad one and kept one for us. Yum!

Figs

Put up so many figs this summer, I should have plenty for the fig tarts that my family loves.

Blueberries

This is what I picked this morning.  Not very many this year they are just starting to ripen. 

Pickles

After 24 quarts and 17 pints I do not want to look at another cucumber again!  We all love them so I guess it was worth it.

I made Judy's Biscuits

Judy from patchworktimes.com had a biscuit recipe on her site so I had to try it this morning.  My husband and mother-in-law thought they were good.  Mine doesn't look as pretty as her's did but they tasted good.

Birthday Cake

   I made my husband an Italian Cream Cake for his 49th birthday.  It went fast.  He usually gets a coconut layer cake but I decided to make this one.
