Design Wall Monday

I did a quilt as you go tablerunner from gedesigns.com for an auction at our Bushnell family reunion to raise money for supplies for the next reunion and I finished a Christmas quilt that was started in 2009.  I'm not adding borders to the Christmas quilt, just quilting and binding it with a diagnal stripe that I found.(Pictures are not the best because I took them with my I-phone).

Design Wall Monday

I have finally finished my dad's birthday quilt and since my grandson has been staying with us every other week I haven't been able to sew as much.  You can't take your eyes off of him. LOL.  We went on vacation to Cheyenne, Wyoming and had a great time even though it was very hot.  The Frontier Day's Parade was wonderful.  On our way home we stopped at Pike's Peak in Colorado, I do not ever want to go back up there.  My wonderful husband let me stop and shop at about 6 to 8 quilt shops on this trip, I had a app on my phone listing quilt shops in our area and he would go find them and let me look around. Of course I had to buy something at each shop :) This quilt is a free pattern of Judy's at patchworktimes.com

Design Wall Monday

When I saw Judy's (patchworktimes.com) quilt last week I knew I wanted to make it.  I would have finished it today but I ran out of the green for the bottom border.  This was a really quick quilt and I LOVED making the half square triangles with my Wonder Cut Ruler. Since my dad is a contractor and this pattern is called, "Carpenter's Star" I think I will give him this for his birthday in  August. Thanks Judy!

Design Wall Monday

"Let's Make A Diehl" this is what a group of us at our lqs "Quilts Bayou" is calling our meetings every Wednesday.  We are picking a quilt out of one of our Kim Diehl's books and we are going to each make our own. Vonda one of the owners helped me by putting a kit together for me, since I am terrible at scrappy and picking out colors.  I think she did a great job! I have my stems made for the applique borders and I will be working on that this week.

I am also working on a Row of the Month at Quilts Bayou, as you can see I am behind 2 months. Loving the 30's fabric and I am trying to get caught up.
