How I Basted My Quilt

I knew my knees couldn't stand crawling around on the floor sandwiching this quilt together so I brought out my Quilters Floor Frame that I had forever ( when I thought I wanted to hand quilt).  I used my Quilt Tack gun and it all worked great. However, I know why I pay for someone to quilt my quilts :)

New trick

I saw this binding hint on a blog and tried it and it works great.  I also did the 1/4" steam a seam 2 binding trick that Diane Fournet from the Beaumont Quilters Guild taught us at Quilts Bayou in Lake Charles and it also worked great.  Will definitely be using these hints again!

Quilt for Patty

I had started this quilt at a late night sew in at Quilts Bayou in Lake Charles.  When my uncle wanted to send a quilt to one of our cousins in Arkansas who has had a cancer scare I thought about this one.  I dug it out and finished the borders and quilted it on my sewing machine.  I hope Patty enjoys it.

Had a wonderful time at Quilt Festival in Houston, TX and as usual I bought too much.  If you have never been you really should try and go you will definitely enjoy it.
